Mt. Angel Oktoberfest returns to downtown Mount Angel, bringing German and Swiss traditions, live music, dancing, food, arts and crafts, and family activities to the streets of this small town about 40 miles south of Portland. Kindergarten is perfect for families: enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, hay maze, face painting, balloon art, bouncy houses, rock climbing, a giant slide and train rides.
There’s also live entertainment at the Bandstand, traditional German dancing, street dances, a wiener dog race, car show, military vehicle display, arts and crafts vendors, 5K and 10K races, and plenty of food booths run by local nonprofits.
