–––
First Mondays: Mr. Hoo
“Mr. Hoo (aka Jeff Inlay) has been playing music for kids and families for over 12 years, both as a solo artist and with his band, The Alphabeticians. Before that, he performed locally with his band Hummingfish in the 90s, as well as being a founding member of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. That last part is questionable😜. He plays guitar, ukulele and kazoo (kazoogle, wazoo and wazoogle), and performs a mix of original songs and classics.”
Second Mondays: Music Quest
“Music Quest (Ben Tarne) is a Portland based Kindie performer. I enjoy taking kids of all ages on musical quests filled with singing, laughter, movement and smiles. We all have the ability to make music! There are high seas adventures with pirates, a farmhouse, a fox, an animals making bubbles too; a little red caboose, and a rigabamboo!!”
Third Mondays: Olive & Dingo
Get ready for a blast as Olive and Dingo light up the stage with their whimsical storybook performances and playful songs! It’s a delightful experience for kids and parents alike, with the dynamic duo winning hearts and minds. Olive brings the magic with silly voices and the energy of a songbird, while Dingo strums his guitar like a master chef crafting a gourmet dish! Olive + Dingo are the epitome of funny, lovable, and quintessential Portland quirkiness!
Fourth Mondays: Papa Steve
Papa Steve has performed family-friendly music concerts in coffee houses and clubs up and down the west and east coasts and in the UK. Working as a school teacher and social worker, he has written scores of songs with preschoolers and kindergarteners that he performs at his shows. The songs have a message and are fun to sing, dance, and clap along with. In a typical show, he will perform on banjo, ukulele, guitar, piano, harmonica… the list goes on. He loves to take requests and will play almost any song that adults or kids want to hear. He also will frequently bring a guest musician or singer when performing at Hammer and Jack’s.
