My Voice Music and Ascending Flow are partnering to transform a block of SE 89th Avenue in East Portland into a celebration of youth creativity, community collaboration, and two major unveilings: a youth-designed community mural covering our studio exterior and the launch of BUS-A-Flow, a new mobile recording and media arts studio that will bring free creative opportunities directly into neighborhoods across the region.
This free, all-ages event will also feature live performances by young musicians, DJs, skate ramps, basketball, free food, art activities, and opportunities to speak with youth participants, artists, and community partners.
The celebration also reflects the continued growth of the organization and the vision of late founder Ian Mouser, whose belief that every young person deserves a voice through music continues to shape My Voice Music today.
