Pi Day at The Judy!

Mar 14 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free admission

Head to The Judy for a celebration of the delightful intersection of math and art — from the stage to the dance floor to larger-than-life LEGO sculptures.

The event runs from 2-3:30pm.

First enjoy and Interactive Demonstration in The Black Box Theater:

  • Dancing Math – Racheal Brown and Arshia Rajeshnarayanan walk you through how math shapes rhythm, timing, and choreography in dance.
  • Designing Math – John Ellingson reveals how mathematical thinking is essential when designing and building sets for the stage.
  • Building Math – Brick Bending (aka Jeff Sanders) demonstrates how math powers the design and construction of LEGO sculptures.

Then, head out to the lobby to grab a slice of your favorite sweet pie ($3.14 per slice!) and other snacks from Concessions. Then we’ll return to The Black Box to begin the countdown to 3:14pm!

Afterward, dive into the brick pit for a LEGO free-build session until 3:30pm!
