Set during the Mexican Revolution, young Frida Kahlo becomes inspired by her father’s creativity, and with his support, uses her imagination and a box of paints to help her overcome challenges and create her own world. With the onset of Frida’s polio, her parents keep her away from bullies and other harm in the streets, making Frida feel lonely.
As she begins experimenting with photography and art, she discovers a world of her own, beyond the four walls of her room, where she can play and dance—and simply be herself. There, she discovers who she truly is and sets off on her own to become the legendary artist that continues to inspire today.
