There’s just nothing better than Fall in Portland. If you’re looking for kid-friendly ideas, read on. And remember to check our Kids Calendar for activities all year long!
Topaz Farm
Topaz Farm’s Fall Harvest Festival, on Sauvie Island, offers a quintessential autumn experience. The farm’s fall weekend paid admission policy ensures enjoyable visits with reduced crowds and shorter lines. Visitors can explore sunflower and sorghum mazes, take hayrides, and pick pumpkins. Children will delight in farm animals, playgrounds and fun activities. The farm market sells fresh produce and local Oregon treats, the grill serves up delicious fare, and the farm bar has something for everyone.
Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory
Throughout October you can follow the FREE Mt. Hood Territory Harvest Trail passport to eight local farms. Complete fun activities, like go for a hayride or get a photo of an ostrich, at two or more locations and redeem your passport for a custom knit scarf! As a heartfelt bonus, each redeemed passport helps provide a Thanksgiving meal to a local family in need through the Sandy Community Action Center.
Kumoricon
Kumoricon at the Oregon Convention Center on November 8-10 offers 3 days for you to immerse yourself in the exciting world of anime and Japanese pop culture! Check out all the fun activities like engaging panels, find some great art in artist alley, see some cosplay or find something new in the marketplace. There is something for everyone. The Kumoricon family is growing every passing year, making it the largest anime convention in Oregon.
Triskelee Farm
Join Triskelee Farm on weekends in October for pumpkins, games, farm tours, food, and fun! Free farm admission. Only kids need an activity bracelet, adults do not. Add on a farm tour to interact with baby goats, ostrich, alpacas, and more!
Oregon Children’s Theatre
Oregon Children’s Theatre is presenting the TheaterWorksUSA production of ‘Cat Kid Comic Club: the Musical!’ This hilarious adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man spin-off series is written by the same team that brought you ‘Dog Man: the Musical’ back in 2022.
Join OCT on November 1, at 7:30 pm, for a Halloween-inspired Opening Night Celebration! Come in costume and trick-or-treat at the Newmark Theatre before the performance. Tickets are on sale now!
