Where to Celebrate Spooky Season in Vancouver

It’s time to smell cinnamon and clove, paint the town orange, and to plan your fall holiday destinations across Clark County. There is so much to do this season that we couldn’t pack it all into one place — and for more Halloween events, check out our kids calendar regularly!

Pumpkin Lane at Pomeroy Farm

Nestled amid the forests of Yacolt, a visit to Pomeroy Farm is always a good time, but fall brings out something special. Take a hayride among “pumpkin people” and choose both your favorite pumpkin and favorite photo opp.

If you go: Open every Saturday and Sunday in October; the farm is open from 10 am to 5 pm (last admission is 4 pm). All ages welcome. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for kids ages 3-11 (ages 2 and under are free).

Halloween on Franklin

This free and seasonal display is a local favorite for most traditional holidays, and Halloween is not exception. Walk or drive by the block of impressively decorated homes. Fun fact: It takes neighbors three weeks to set up! Pro tip: For families with littles, visit during the daytime for a less spooky experience.

If you go: Displays are up the month of October and can be found on Franklin Street at the 46th block. Donations are appreciated.

The Grimoire Exhibition

Your holiday marketplace for all things spooky, the Grimoire Exhibition is held at the Clark County Fairgrounds. inspired by spooky classics like Sabrina the Teenage Witch and American Horror Story, this marketplace features over 120 vendors of all things witchy pop culture and handmade hocus pocus.

If you go: Marketplace runs from October 19-20. Admission is $26.66 on Saturday and $13.99 on Sunday; kids under 10 are free. Come dressed up — costumes are highly encouraged!

Cinema of Horrors

Bring your favorite scary movie to life with interactive drive-in theater all month long at the Cinema of Horrors at the Clark County Event Center Fairgrounds in Ridgefield. Real actors, with props, lights and more lurk nearby as horror flicks like The Blair Witch Project, It, Scream, and The Purge play on the big screen. This one’s on the spookier side, recommended for older kids, teens, and adults. Pro tip: Visit on October 17 or October 24 for family nights, where the movies playing are Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

If you go: Admission is $69 per car. Gates open at 5 pm , and the movie begin at 7 pm.

Trunk or Treats

Halloween might officially just be on October 31, but there are many area “Trunk or Treats” to experience leading into the season. (For those new to the concept, children go car to car “trunk” vs. door to door. A fantastic option for those with limited time or mobility. Here are our favorites:
