Dance your way through the holidays with NWCT’s original tap extravaganza. The Oregonian calls Cinderella “…a gem of sophisticated accessibility, hipness and wit” and “…impossible not to love.”
Young Cinderella knows she’s destined for the stage, but with jealous relatives standing between her and the spotlight, she will need courage, passion, and a little magic. This holiday musical is perfect for the whole family and will keep your toes tapping until the stroke of midnight.
Cinderella originally premiered at NWCT in 2013, as the closing production of NWCT’s 20th Anniversary Season. The show was an immediate hit, and completely sold out all performances. This upcoming revival features new scenes, songs, and blockbuster dance numbers. It also showcases the return of Camille Trinka’s powerhouse vocals, as she takes center stage in the title role.
Cinderella springs to life from the imagination of composer/pianist Ezra Weiss, an experienced local band leader who has won awards for his songs and arrangements. Weiss also wrote music and lyrics for NWCT’s popular productions “Alice in Wonderland” and “Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus!” His script for Cinderella takes its inspiration from the works of Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Rogers and Hart.
Cinderella runs through the holidays, December 2nd to January 1st. All performances are at Noon & 4pm.
Visit NWCT’s website at www.nwcts.org for tickets, or call the Box Office at 503-222-2190.
