Get away from the muggle world for a weekend of magic at McMenamins Kennedy School with the wizard activists of SPEWW – Society for the Promotion of Equality for Witches & Wizards! Visit Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, and Hogsmeade, participate in special games and activities, and enjoy magically themed food and drink in the Great Hall.
Wizarding Weekend is free and open to the public! Only the movies require a ticket.
This year there will be a variety of magical movies all weekend (non-Harry Potter), we’ll be doing another mash-up for Sunday’s costume contest. We’re looking for your best Wizarding World character combined with a Muggle sport.
We will be collecting school supplies for Boys and Girls Aid, which is committed to ensuring children and youth are able to build lifelong stability through connections to loving families, supportive adults, and nurturing environments.
SPEWW (formerly PDXpelliarmus) is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to literacy, equality, and human rights. We are committed to helping uplift and empower the transgender community as well as create safe spaces for all LGBTQIA+ people in the Wizarding fandom.
