Here at PDX Parent, we hope this St. Patrick’s Day is your luckiest yet. Here are 7 ways to celebrate this year!

Get festive. Sellwood-Moreland is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade on March 11, with activities and vendors for the whole family.
Party at the Parade. See the 34rd Annual Portland St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 12. Don’t forget clocks spring forward an hour. We’d hate for you to miss the parade!
Put on your running shoes. The Portland Shamrock Run is also happening on Sunday, March 12, with a kids-only Leprechaun Lap fun run in addition to the main event.
Go on a cruise. Kids 0-3 get free admission on the Shamrock Cruise on board the Portland Spirit!
Celebrate with the whole family. The family-friendly All Ireland Cultural Society’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration is back in person this year, after a three-year pandemic hiatus. The festive fun takes place Friday, March 17, and there are plenty of kid-friendly activities to enjoy. Also on Friday, check out the 14th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Festival at Paddy’s Bar & Grill, where there will be live Irish music, bagpipers, Irish dancers and great food and drink. McMenamin’s Kennedy School is also hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with food and drink specials, live music and plenty of fun.
Go for a ride. Gather your little transportation enthusiasts and enjoy a Luck of the Irish Steam Train Excursion on Saturday, March 18.
