See the world premiere of Tom Gold’s Carnival of the Animals, where the city of Portland becomes a star. Residents turn into a parade of charming hens, penguins, tortoises, and peacocks in The Portland Ballet’s family-friendly show Current/Classic. Also on the bill: a new work by Nick Le-Jurica and Paquita, a traditional ballet with a long history and bravura performances.
