Giveaway: 1 Week of Saturday Academy Improv Camp, Grades 9-12

When all the world’s a stage, how will you choose to play? Spotlight your improv skills and jump into the land of “yes, and…” as you explore short and long form performance games. Learn to generate your own story lines, scenes, and characters through theater games designed to increase your creativity. Build your confidence and communication skills, on stage and off. Sure to deepen the connection to your own voice and impulses, this improv and theater camp can help you find your light. Where everything is made up, prepare nothing but be ready for anything!

Join Saturday Academy and Brandon McCoy for Yes! And…  Brandon (He/Him) is a professional actor, director, playwright and educator specializing in multiple areas of the performing arts and communications. He has appeared on national television, worked on over 75 plays as an actor and director, and is also a professionally produced playwright. Brandon believes that learning is most effective when we activate, innovate, and have fun while doing it. He believes in balancing understanding with practical execution, and giving students the opportunity to reflect on and share newfound skills in order to be able to utilize them in a variety of settings and transactions.

Restrictions: For those ENTERING 9th – 12th Grade, the camp runs August 14-18, Mon-Fri, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Camp is located at the University of Portland
