Our Favorite Portland-Area Sunflower Fields

You don’t have to visit the open fields of Tuscany for this colorful and cheery photo op — there are plenty of sunflower fields right here in Portland, OR. Head to local farms to enjoy these end-of-summer blooms, navigate a maze, or enjoy a festival. Be sure to check farm websites for the latest updates on blooming conditions.

Thank you to our Summer Fun Sponsor Bella Organic Farm! We couldn’t do this work without generous sponsors like Bella Organic. Their 100-acre certified organic farm in Portland has so much to offer during peak farming season here in the PNW. In July and August, Bella offers u-pick certified organic blueberries and thornless blackberries, as well as u-cut sunflowers. Because berry and sunflower season overlap, you can capture perfect photos in the sunflower fields and leave with freshly picked berries. Shop their farm store, booming with fresh organic produce and pre-picked organic berries all summer long, or let the kids enjoy a strawberry lemonade and pet the farm animals while you cozy up to a wine flight! Bella isn’t just an organic farm and winery, it’s an experience.

Look for fun surprises as more of the field blooms. BONUS: This year the live music venue at the farm will be surrounded by sunflowers, so this is an especially great time to get tickets to their family-friendly Americana Harvest Fest series on Thursday nights.
