Looking for a Christmas tree adventure? Here are some of the local u-cut tree farms that surround the Portland-metro area.  Many farms also offer food and drink, a chance to see animals or meet Santa. Many require ticketed entry, so check the farm websites before you go.

Christmas Mountain Choose and Cut

Enjoy acres of trees, wagon rides, hot drinks, spectacular views, great spots for photo ops, a festive atmosphere and more. This year tickets are required for entry. A ticket admits one vehicle. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there on weekends for conversation and photos. Free tree shaking and baling. Dogs allowed on leash, but not on the wagon.

Frog Pond Christmas Tree Farm

Frog Pond Farm will have pre-cut trees, garlands and wreaths, and their gift store will be open. Visit the camel, llamas, goats and donkeys. On weekends they have a bonfire and coffee shop, and Santa will make an appearance on select days.

Furrow Farm

Fresh cut and u-cut trees available, including Noble, Nordmann, Grand, and Douglas Fir, free tree baling, and other items for sale such as mistletoe, wreaths, garland and more. Free tractor ride on weekends and farm animals to view. Saws and twine provided. Dogs on leash welcome!
When: Opens the Friday after Thanksgiving

Helvetia Christmas Tree Farm

Offering u-cut and pre-cut Turkish (Nordmann), Grand, Noble and Douglas Fir trees, wreaths, tractor-train rides, fire pits with free marshmallows, artificial snow every five minutes, and a gift shop. Dogs welcome!
When: Due to a tree shortage, u-cut is one weekend only. November 25-27. Second weekend is pre-cut only, December 3-4.

Lee Farms

This family farm offers an excellent selection of fresh cut and u-cut Noble, Nordmann, Grand and Douglas Fir. They cut, shake, bale and load for you. There’s also a farm store with gifts, food and treats.
When: Open November 12-December 23, based on tree supply.

Loch Lolly Christmas Forest

The Christmas Forest features 28 acres of Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, Noble Fir, and Nordmann. U-cut and pre-cut trees. Santa visits in his antique sleigh on select weekends.
When: November 25-December 11

Plumper Pumpkin Patch and Tree Farm

You can pick out a tree from the store, use one of their saws to cut one down yourself, or have one of the Plumper staff cut it down for you. Hot drinks, pumpkin donuts, and snacks available for purchase, plus their gift store is open, and kids love to see the farm animals. Dog friendly!
When: November 19-December 18

Pollard Ranch

Choose one of their 35,000 Christmas trees — you’re sure to find the perfect one. Plus, drink cocoa by the fire, and enjoy the local wildlife. They have Noble, Nordmann, Douglas and Grand Fir trees, plus wreaths and garlands. 
When: Opens November 19

Sauvie Island Farms

Just 10 miles from Downtown Portland, this farm offers Douglas, Grand and Noble Fir.  No hot drinks or cookies this year, and no wreaths or garlands. Extreme summer heat has destroyed many small saplings. They appreciate your support!
When: Open November 25-26 only, due to low inventory this year.

Washougal River Christmas Trees

Washougal River Christmas Trees offers Noble, Fraser, Nordmann and Douglas Fir, wreaths and table-top trees, too. Free cocoa, coffee and candy canes and a large covered area with animals, including Elvis the mini donkey. Friendly pets are welcome. They are an official “Letters to Santa” collection station.

Bauman Farms

Bauman Farms offers u-cut and pre-cut trees, including Douglas, Noble and Specialty Fir. Using curated fresh local greens and special Bauman embellishments, they offer one-of-a-kind decorated wreaths and centerpieces to get your home ready for the season of merry and bright! Santa will be there on select Saturdays (November 26, and December 3, 10, 17).

Yesteryear Tree Farm

While not a u-cut farm this year (pre-cut trees only), they do have fun photo ops, guest appearances (on select dates; see website) such as Elsa, the Grinch and Santa, a complimentary beverage trailer and Ford Red Truck photo op. Plus they offer wreaths, garlands and a huge gift shop.

JTB U-Cut Christmas Trees

Enjoy free hot cider and popcorn at this four-acre farm east of Portland. They offer Noble, Grand and Douglas Firs. Cash or check only. Dog-friendly.

Beaverton Holiday U-Cut Christmas Tree Farm

Find a pesticide-free Douglas fir at this family-owned farm in Beaverton, open one weekend only this year.
